“how to”

  • 24 hours before your tan, exfoliate with an exfoliating mitt to remove any dead skin and moisturise after your shower to ensure your skin is hydrated. Focus on any dry skin areas. For best results, soak in a warm bath for 15 minutes before exfoliating.
  • Complete any waxing, shaving or other beauty treatments 24 hours prior to your tan.
  • Avoid using bar soaps or creamy body washes. These can leave a barrier on your skin. Choose oil-free body washes instead. Make sure you come to your tan with clean skin and NO deodorant or perfumes on your skin prior to your tan as this can turn your skin a green shade. Avoid until you have showered.
  • Try to wear loose fitting clothes to avoid marks and be careful of water and liquid post tan until you shower to prevent streaks.
  • Avoid activities that make you sweaty.
  • Recommended rinse time:
    • Santorini: Leave on for 1-3 hours
    • Rapid: Leave on for 2 – 3 hours
    • Monterey: Leave on for 6 – 8 hours
    • Malibu: Leave on for 6 – 8 hours
    • Clear: Leave for 6 – 8 hours
  • TIP: Rinse hands & face from 30 minutes
  • Rinse in lukewarm water only, gently wiping over your body to remove residue – make it short and sweet. Don’t wash your hair for this first rinse and don’t use soaps or body wash. Gently pat dry your skin.
  • The tan will continue to develop after your first rinse for the next 12-24 hours, so don’t be alarmed if you’re not as tanned as you expect to be straight after rinsing.
  • After 24 hours, moisturise each morning and night, stay hydrated and keep avoiding bar soaps and creamy body washes.
